Class Set Up

Upon arrival, please ask permission before allowing your dog to greet another dog. The trainer present will walk you through how to do so safely and productively if there is any doubt. Once everyone is integrated, we’ll begin walking together. Keep in mind this is not a time for perfect heel work. Please allow your dog to sniff and explore and be a dog! We’ll explain when training is necessary and appropriate.

  • We will cater the walk to whoever is coming and whatever their specific needs are.

For example, if we have a young puppy attending, we’ll keep the walk slow and short to avoid overdoing it on their sensitive joints. If we have a person in a wheelchair coming, we’ll stick to paved and flat paths.
