Elementary School

At 4-6 months, this is an often perfectly attentive age to learn new skills for a smooth transition into adolescence. This is also the age where you might notice a sudden increase in barking, jumping up on people and surfaces, and challenging behaviors on walks like pulling, leash biting, zig-zagging, or putting on the brakes.

In Puppy Elementary, we work on fine-tuning your puppy’s skillset to address the pain points you might be experiencing while we continue positive exposure to their still relatively new world. If you just graduated from our Puppy Kindergarten, then keep up training momentum with this perfect next step!

Supportive Services

Once you’re enrolled in a group class, you’ll receive a discount on in-home private training to help address your specific goals and unique challenges. Starting private training early and pro-actively can be just as important as enrolling in a safe and high quality puppy class.

Class set up

Each team gets their own enclosed training area which allows you and your pup to work safely off leash. We use sheets to provide a visual barrier between all students in class and gradually fade those sheets out as your puppy gets better at working in the presence of distractions.

FAQ's

  • Yes! We can make any familiar exercise more challenging for you if you’re ahead of the group. Our 2-1 client to trainer ratio allows us to personalize any exercise to meet you and your dog where you’re at.

  • Whether it’s a planned absence or a last minute emergency, each series comes with a complimentary Make Up/Office Hour class to schedule at your convenience. While we don’t offer refunds, we do our best to remain flexible and ensure your purchase is risk-free.

  • If your puppy is scared to leave the house, unlikely to take treats on our campus, or reactive toward other dogs and people, then we recommend beginning with a Behavior Evaluation or our Reactive Rover Recovery class. After completing one of those two services, we’ll let you know if Elementary School is the next best service to meet your goals!

  • Our focus in this class is building dog-dog neutrality so they can learn how to ignore distractions and become more engaged with you during training. However, we completely understand the importance of continuing to socialize your young pup. Once you’re a Clickstart client be invited to join us on our Field Trips or Group Walks for fun and safe group socialization opportunities!
