College
Clickstart's College course is designed for teams ready to take their high school education to the next level. This is our AKC Canine Good Citizen prep class with test day taking place on the final day of class.
This class will prepare you for real world challenges such as passing other dogs on leash, saying hello to strangers politely, settling in place, staying connected on leash, ignoring distractions and more. Graduate with Honors by passing the AKC Canine Good Citizen test!

Supportive Services
Once you’re enrolled in a group class, you’ll receive a discount on in-home private training to help address your specific goals and unique challenges. During private sessions, we can meet at local dog-friendly cafés, breweries, or restaurants to troubleshoot your training together.
Graduating this class makes you eligible to attend our Patio Field Trips for more affordable opportunities to continue practicing your skills in the presence of a trainer and other like-minded teams!
Class set up
Unlike our core level classes, there will be no visual or physical barriers between your dog and their classmates. Therefore, neutrality toward other dogs is a requirement for this class.

We have a very unique set of expectations and way of training here at Clickstart. Therefore, we do require completion of High School or private coaching prior to enrollment in our College class.

Your dog has to be 12 months+ in order to test for the CGC Title through the AKC. While you’re welcome to take the class, you won’t be able to take the test and receive the official title.
There’s a good reason for the age requirement. We recommend a bit more maturity before expecting high performance on the test.

Many exercises/test items will require close proximity to other dogs and people. Unlike our core level classes, there will be no visual or physical barriers between your dog and their classmates. Therefore, neutrality toward other dogs is a requirement for this class.
We have had graduates of Reactive Rover Recovery make it all the way to College and beyond - so it is possible! It just requires explicit trainer approval.
